    Marianne Carruth, Director of Marketing and Arts in Education at TFAC, and Michael MacCauley, Director of the Professional Youth Actor Training Program at NC Stage, will audition interested fifth grade students from Saluda, Tryon, Sunny View, and Polk Central elementary schools during the first week of September.

    Rehearsals will take place at the Polk County Public Library in Columbus September 8-11 from 4-6pm, with a dress rehearsal on Saturday, September 13 from 9-11am. The final performance will be at 3pm on Sunday, September 14 at the Tryon Fine Arts Center’s Peterson Amphitheater.

    Description: Pacolet Area Conservancy (PAC) will lead a nature hike on the trails behind the library. Following the hike, they will discuss watersheds and the importance of keeping our watershed clean and free of trash and pollutants. PAC will bring an interactive model to demonstrate effects that human by-products can have on our water systems and sources.
