New Book on Polk County Libraries available

The Friends of the Polk County Public Library (FOPCPL) Board has sponsored a book, entitled Libraries of Polk County, A History, that includes stories of how all the PC libraries came into being from the Sidney Lanier Library of the late 1800s to the modern Polk County Public Library finished in 2006. It is prepared to inform as well as to celebrate the many individuals who have given so much of themselves to provide good literature, sources of information, cultural enrichment, and entertainment to the community by developing and supporting libraries in the area. It is offered as a public service and is not a money making project for the author, Marian Bryan, or for the FOPCPL Board. The book sells for $15.00 and is available at the Circulation Desks of the Polk County and Saluda Public Libraries.
