A new lunch series spotlighting local authors and experts!

Local author Matthew Daigle, 6th grade history teacher at Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy, will present his book When Heroes Fall.

When Heroes Fall is a brutal story about three characters whose socially divergent lives would have never crossed had it not been for the dead fields of World War I. Covering a variety of issues during the Gilded age, the book explores gang violence in Hell’s Kitchen NYC, corruption of big business in Chicago, and family strength and unity in the mountains of Western North Carolina, all tying the characters together around the battlefields of France and through grisly murders from their past.

Participants are encouraged to bring a bagged lunch to this event.
