Computer Basics Class at PCPL

COLUMBUS, N. C., (April 15, 2016) Do you want to increase your confidence in using technology? Visit Polk County Public Library and learn basic computer skills! On Friday, April 22nd at 1:00pm in the Columbus Library’s computer lab, library staff members Amelia Derr and Elizabeth Smith will lead a one hour workshop for beginning computer users. The hands-on session will focus on computer parts, the Windows operating system, and navigating the internet. Library Director Rishara Finsel explains, “Our community turns to us for technology assistance and whether you are learning to use a mouse, search the internet, or borrow Library eBooks, the Library stands ready to help.” The class is the first in an ongoing series, and suggestions for future class topics will be gathered at the first meeting. There is no charge to attend.

Polk County Public Library has a Main Library in Columbus and a branch in Saluda, as well as outreach services. PCPL offers books, movies, music, audiobooks, and downloadable eBooks and audiobooks, as well as public computers and wireless internet access.
