Friends of the Polk County Public Library Annual Meeting

COLUMBUS, N.C., (January 6, 2016) – The Friends of the Polk County Public Library members will hold their Annual Meeting on January 12, 2016, at 5:30pm in the Community Room of the Main Library.

After light refreshments, there will be installation of new officers and a short business meeting. A musical program will follow featuring Lance Smith (Associate Pastor for the Congregational Church) and Mike Weathers playing banjo and guitar music and telling stories – back by popular demand! All Polk County citizens are welcome to attend. Those wishing to join the Friends of the Library may do so at the meeting.

The Friends of the Polk County Public Library is a non-profit group organized to promote community support and interest in the Polk County Public Library. Members are a part of a nationwide organization that works to increase informed public interest in resources, services, facilities, and needs of the Library. Community citizens are invited to join FOL for reasonable annual membership dues of $10 for single membership, $15 for family membership and $100 for a lifetime membership. Come and join a vibrant organization that holds book sales, supports library programs, and contributes significantly to our local libraries in Columbus and Saluda in various ways.
