Welcome back, we missed you! The library buildings are open to the public Mondays-Fridays from 9am to 5pm with curbside and remote services still available.

Curbside Service is available at the Columbus Library and Saluda Library Monday through Friday from 11am to 4pm until June 12, 2020. You may choose to pickup requested items curbside or in our buildings.

    • Please do not use the libraries or curbside services if you are feeling sick in any way.
    • Request items through the online catalog (https://polk.nccardinal.org/) or by calling the library at 828-894-8721.
    • Once your items are available, you will be notified with a phone call.
    • If you prefer to pick up your items through curbside delivery, come to the library during the Curbside Service hours listed above.
    • At Columbus? Park in a marked spot to the far end of the parking lot by the woods and call 828-894-8721.
    • At Saluda? Park in the marked parking space and call 828-722-5218.
    • Library staff will ask you for your library card number when you call, so be sure to bring it with you.
    • Only items placed on hold will be available for curbside pickup.

        • We’ve added an extra checkout during this time, so check out up to six items per card at this time.
        • If you have a blocked or expired library card, you will be temporarily allowed to use NC Digital Library.
    • Borrow kids ebooks and audiobooks from NC Kids Digital Library. 
    • Learn a new language with Mango Languages.
