Circle of Parents

This program, led by Partnership for Children of the Foothills, is for parents of children from birth to five years old. Come share the challenges and successes of parenting with other parents just like you, while gaining and sharing useful information and tips on how to strengthen your family. Experienced child care teachers provide on-site age appropriate activities, supervision, and fun (including the weekly library storytime when in session) for children up to five years of age, while parents and guardians are busy in group discussion and activities. Trivia Night @ Saluda Mexican Grill

The theme is Disney! Teams can have up to six players. There will be gift card prizes for 1st and 2nd place, and a consolation prize for last place. Arrive early to guarantee a seat!

Monarchs of Michoacán
Tuesday, Feb 10 @ 2pm
Saluda Library

Join us for a discussion of the Monarch life cycle that allows the butterflies to fly north from Mexico through multiple life cycles until they reach southern Canada, then return to their wintering grounds in southern Mexico in one long, hazard-filled "super generation." Presenter Heyward Douglass has worked as a naturalist at Oconee and Table Rock State Parks and with the Clemson Cooperative Extension Services, and as the Executive Director of the Foothills Trail Conservancy. He has an M.S. in Entomology and visited the Monarch Butterfly Mexican wintering grounds in February 2020. Register for the program here.

The Saluda Library Speaker Series is held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 44 West Main Street, Saluda, NC. This program series is made possible thanks to Polk County Public Libraries' partnership with Conserving Carolina.
