Come read to a dog from the Foothills Humane Society this summer! Dogs will be at the library for 15-minute reading sessions.

Reading with animals is therapeutic and beneficial! Here's why:

  • Dogs are non-judgmental, so children are less self-conscious
  • Most children have a natural affinity and bond with dogs
  • Children can improve their reading skills in a fun, relaxed atmosphere
  • It can enhance self-esteem, motivate speech, and build confidence
