This engaging talk offers a comprehensive overview of these remarkable creatures, exploring their unique life cycle, habitat preferences, and the factors contributing to their alarming decline. Hans Lohmeyer, freshwater ecologist and Conserving Carolina Stewardship Coordinator, will present this program as we go on a journey through the rivers and streams that serve as the home for these hidden gems. The Saluda Library Speaker Series is held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 44 West Main Street, Saluda, NC. This program series is made possible thanks to Polk County Public Libraries' partnership with Conserving Carolina.
