Learn about environmentally friendly garden techniques that you can implement this spring to make your garden a friendly place for wildlife, including pollinating insects! Healthy environments can be achieved by reducing lawns, holistic tree health care and protection, and utilizing native plants. Presenter Steve Pettis is a Henderson County Extension Agent and host of the Gardening in the Mountains radio show and podcast. He has been in the plant business for 35 years and works with home gardeners, landscape professionals, and local municipalities to make our built environments more natural and environmentally friendly.

Step up your spring cleaning and refresh your wardrobe with this eco-friendly clothing exchange! Drop off up to 10 items of gently worn, clean clothing and receive a voucher for each item donated. Then return the next day to trade your vouchers for new-to-you items! Those with vouchers have first dibs from 4-5pm, then anyone may attend from 5-6pm. We will not accept more than 10 items or badly damaged clothing. Leftovers will be donated.
