Columbus Library Join us for an educational program with the North Carolina Arboretum to learn all about the many different plants that call Western North Carolina their home! Ever wondered why some trees lose their leaves in the winter and others don’t? Or why almost all plants are green? At this program we’ll answer these questions and more. We’ll also make DIY plant presses together, go on a plant scavenger hunt, and venture outside to see what’s growing! Come ready to hear about the ecoEXPLORE program, find out what makes a plant a plant, how plants make their own food, where different plants can be found, plus much more! This program is designed for ages 5-13.

Yogi Bears 04/20/2026 , 3:30 PM at PCPL Columbus Yogi Bears: Yoga for Kids Join Allie for a fun, themed session of kids’ yoga! Through song, mindfulness, and movement, we will stretch our bodies and calm our minds. April’s theme will be Moo, Neigh, Namaste – A Farmyard Flow! Please wear comfy clothes to move in – yoga mats will be provided. Recommended for ages 5-9. Registration is required and space is limited.
