Join us for books, songs, and a fun craft or activity! The 4th week of the month will be “A Sprinkle of Spanish” storytimes. Storytime is designed for ages 2-5. There will be no storytimes the week of Thanksgiving.

Bright Star Touring Theatre presents Cherokee Tales
Mon, November 24 @ 4pm
Columbus Library

The Cherokee People have a rich history of myths, legends, and folktales explaining everything from the creation of the world to how the plants and animals around us came to look and behave the way they do today. Developed in partnership with the Cherokee Historical Association, this play introduces young audiences to the Cherokee people through a series of fun and engaging stories. This program is designed for K-6th graders, but anyone is welcome to attend.

Cooking Up Stories
3rd Tuesdays @ 4pm

This new program for K-5th graders combines picture books with delicious dishes! Registration required as space is limited. Email jdickenson@polklibrary.org by the Thursday before each session to sign up. Sessions may be cancelled if not enough participants register. These programs are sponsored by the Friends of the Polk County Public Libraries!

Mouse Saves Christmas

On Christmas Eve, one tiny hero with a big heart sets out to save the day—and the whole holiday season! Mouse Saves Christmas is an interactive stage adventure brought to life with breathtaking puppetry, toe-tapping music, and a cast of professional performers that will leave all ages laughing and cheering! Step into a magical world where friendship, bravery, and a sprinkle of holiday mischief take center stage. It’s a holiday celebration for the entire family, mouse-sized and magic-packed!
