Memory Jars @ Steamy Mug

The Columbus Library is open with regular operating hours. Wifi is available 24/7 from the Columbus Library parking lot. The Saluda Library will remain closed indefinitely due to flood damage. No library materials are due until Monday, Oct. 14th and overdue fines are not currently being charged. All programs and events are canceled for the month of October. For information about emergency shelters and supply distribution, please call 828-722-5086.

What takes you back in time? Polk County Public Library will be showcasing memory jars during the month of March and is seeking participants.

To participate in this community art project, bring your trinkets and other “memories” to Steamy Mug and the jars and craft supplies will be provided by the library. Visit polklibrary.org/kids/memory-jars to see examples!

The jars will go on display at the library for a month and then may be picked up for you to keep.

Steamy Mug will have food and drinks for sale that evening for you to enjoy as well.
