A monthly cooking challenge to spice up your kitchen… Try something new for dinner! Each month, pick up a FREE spice sample. The packet will also include a simple recipe and a list of cookbooks with additional recipes using the featured spice. Post a photo of your completed dish on Facebook or email it to jdickenson@polklibrary.org for an entry into our monthly gift card drawing.

March’s Spice: Smoked Paprika

Recipe: Smoked Paprika Cauliflower
PREP TIME: 10 mins
COOK TIME: 20 mins
SERVINGS: 4
INGREDIENTS:
1 head cauliflower, cut into bite size florets
2 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
1 tsp pepper
2 tbsp smoked paprika
INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with baking parchment paper, or non-stick spray. In a large mixing bowl combine olive oil, smoked paprika, and pepper. Toss and coat cauliflower in the oil mixture. Dump and spread cauliflower onto lined baking sheet, making sure they are not crowded or overlapped. Bake for 15-20 minutes. They will be hot out of the oven so let cool slightly then eat and enjoy!
