This is a special program that is part of the North Carolina Story Guild’s 100 County Journey and sponsored by the Greensboro Arts Council and NC Story Guild to promote The Heart of North Carolina Storytelling Festival. Elena Miller performed at the Carl Sandburg Home for many years and won the National Park Service Freeman Tilden Award for Best Performing Arts Program in 1983. She continues her work as a professional independent performing artist for the Arts Council of Henderson County and throughout the southeast. Her repertoire includes folk tales, Grimm’s Fairy Tales, Aesop’s Fables, Jack Tales, dulcimer, guitar, and autoharp.
