Art series at Saluda Library

SALUDA, N. C., (February 3, 2021) Saluda Library is kicking off 2021 with a local artist series! Saluda is a town rich in art, and artists can be found painting on our tiny Main Street and creating in cabins and studios hidden along winding roads hugging the mountainsides.

During February and March, Saluda Library will feature the work of Saluda resident and library patron Doug Honeycutt. Honeycutt’s style for many of his paintings is classified as pointillism, not unlike well-known artists Georges Seurat, Paul Signac, and Vincent van Gogh. One of his memorable paintings is a brilliantly colored meadow with Mountain Page Church in the backdrop, a glimpse of a day in Saluda. Stop by the library to see this and other paintings and sculptures during regular business hours. Saluda Library is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 6pm and Saturday from 9am to 1pm.

If you are interested in having your art displayed at Saluda Library, review the Displays & Exhibits Policy at https://polklibrary.org/policies/ and contact Saluda Library Manager Bob McCall at 828-894-8721 x294 or bmccall@polklibrary.org.
