Memory Jars at the Polk County Public Library
COLUMBUS, N. C., (February 6, 2017) – What takes you back in time? Polk County Public Library will showcase memory jars during the month of March and is seeking participants. You simply fill a mason jar with anything that sparks your memory. The library provides the jars; you fill them and bring them back to the library for display.
To participate in this community art project, stop by the Saluda or Columbus Library and pick up a jar. Jars are due back to the library by February 24th. After they are displayed, they can be picked up the week of March 27th.
You can also come to a program at the Steamy Mug coffee shop in Saluda on Thursday, February 16 at 6pm. Bring your trinkets and other “memories” and the jars and craft supplies will be provided by the library. Steamy Mug will have food and drinks for sale that evening for you to enjoy as well. Contact Jen at (828) 894-8721 x227 or jdickenson@polklibrary.org to sign up or for more information.
