Meet animals with Chimney Rock at Columbus Library

COLUMBUS, N. C., (January 6, 2025) From January to March, Chimney Rock State Park will present a wildlife program at Columbus Library on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 4pm. These programs are designed for children and their families, but all ages are welcome to attend.

The program series kicks off on January 28th with Radical Raptors! Learn about birds of prey, understand the role they play in our ecosystem, and discover how we can help protect them. Meet special winged ambassadors and hear about what makes them unique among our native species.

February 25th’s program will focus on marvelous mammals of the Appalachian Mountains and the March 25th program is about nocturnal animals. All programs will feature live animals who live at Chimney Rock State Park.

Polk County Public Libraries has two libraries, Columbus Library and Saluda Library, with books, DVDs, music, audiobooks, and digital books available for checkout, as well as public computers and wireless internet access. Saluda Library remains temporarily closed at this time. PCPL also offers regularly scheduled programs for all ages. To learn more, visit polklibrary.org.
