Local author to teach free writing class

COLUMBUS, N. C., (July 25, 2019) ­– Local author Lynda Lippman-Lockhart will teach a free writing class for adults, The Elements of Writing, at Columbus Library on Monday, August 5 at 10:30am.

Lynda Lippman-Lockhart, a native of St. Petersburg, Florida, graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in teaching and went on to earn her English degree at the University of South Florida. She was the director of a nursery school for four years and a high school English teacher for twenty-six years. Upon retirement, she began her current profession—writing. Lynda honed her writing skills by attending workshops at the University of Iowa, Lesley University, and Eckerd College. She has published three books: Nine Minutes to Kill, Oodles of Poodles, and The Laundry Room.

Polk County Public Libraries has two libraries, Columbus Library and Saluda Library, as well as outreach services. PCPL offers books, movies, music, audiobooks, and downloadable eBooks and audiobooks, as well as public computers and wireless internet access.
