Oct. 12 – 14: Scheduled Catalog Maintenance
On Friday, October 12 through Sunday, October 14, the NC Cardinal library catalog (shared by Polk County Public Libraries and more than 160 libraries across the state) will undergo necessary maintenance and upgrading. During that time, the online catalog will not be fully available either to customers or to library staff.
During this period:
- Libraries will be open with regular hours, and anyone with an account in good standing is welcome to check out materials.
- Ebooks, digital audiobooks and most other online resources will be unaffected; free access to Lynda.com will be temporarily unavailable.
- You won’t be able to place holds or manage your account online
- Staff won’t be able to make changes to your account
- You won’t be able to pay overdue or lost item charges
- Items will NOT be due during this period. All due dates will be adjusted to skip these days and no overdue fines will be charged during the upgrade period.
How Can You Help? If possible, refrain from returning materials or requesting holds during the upgrade period. Please remember to make sure you have your library card and/or account number by Oct. 12.
Please contact us for any assistance, and thank you for your patience.
