Free passes to local attractions available at the library
COLUMBUS, N. C., (March 10, 2025) Polk County Public Libraries offer free passes to local attractions through their Zoom Pass program, which is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Polk County Public Libraries. Reservations for a pass can be made between five and 30 days in advance on the library’s website. Two passes may be reserved per calendar month for each household. Please note that Zoom Passes are not valid for special events.
There are ten local attractions that offer free passes – Well Played Board Game Cafe, Asheville Art Museum, Asheville Museum of Science, the North Carolina Arboretum, and the WNC Nature Center in Asheville; Hands On Children’s Museum and Team ECCO Aquarium in Hendersonville; KidSenses Children’s INTERACTIVE Museum in Rutherfordton; the Children’s Museum of the Upstate in Greenville and Spartanburg; and the Cradle of Forestry in Pisgah Forest.
Polk County Public Libraries has two libraries, Columbus Library and Saluda Library, with books, movies, music, audiobooks, and downloadable eBooks and audiobooks available for checkout, as well as public computers and wireless internet access.
