Cherokee Tales at Columbus Library
COLUMBUS, N. C., (November 13, 2025) Bright Star Touring Theatre will present Cherokee Tales on Monday, November 24th at 4pm at Columbus Library. This program is designed for K-6th graders, but anyone is welcome to attend.
The Cherokee People have a rich history of myths, legends, and folktales explaining everything from the creation of the world to how the plants and animals around us came to look and behave the way they do today. Developed in partnership with the Cherokee Historical Association, this play introduces young audiences to the Cherokee people through a series of fun and engaging stories.
Polk County Public Libraries has two libraries, Columbus Library and Saluda Library, with books, movies, music, audiobooks, and downloadable eBooks and audiobooks available for checkout, as well as public computers and wireless internet access.
