Local artist Lori Loftus displays works at Saluda Library

SALUDA, N. C., (October 16, 2023) It’s fall in the mountains, and the beauty of nature can be seen all around us – including inside Saluda Library! The tree series of silk wall hangings by local artist Lori Loftus are now on display through November 30th. Visit Saluda Library during opening hours to view the art, and contact the artist directly at lori.ann.loftus@gmail.com if you are interested in purchasing any of the pieces.

Nature printing has been Lori’s artistic passion since joining the International Nature Printing Society in 2006. She uses flora, fauna, and berries, wrapped in silk and steamed in a large pot, to create one-of-a-kind works of art on silk tapestries through a process called eco printing. Her silk scarves are also on display at Heartwood Gallery in Saluda.

If you are interested in having your art displayed at Saluda Library, please review the Displays & Exhibits Policy at polklibrary.org/policies and contact Saluda Library Manager Amelia Medrano at 828-894-8721 x293 or amedrano@polklibrary.org.
