A successful summer internship at Polk County Public Libraries

COLUMBUS, N. C., (September 16, 2019) ​– ​Polk County Public Libraries would like to thank the Polk County Community Foundation for providing funds for a teen intern to assist with the 2019 Summer Reading Program. Luke Bennett worked at the library for eight weeks doing tasks such as signing children and teens up for the reading incentive program (which has increased by 40% over the last four years), setting up for and organizing events, and performing collection development duties.

Polk County Public Libraries has two libraries, Columbus Library and Saluda Library, as well as outreach services. PCPL offers books, movies, music, audiobooks, and downloadable eBooks and audiobooks, as well as public computers and wireless internet access.
