We all know how important it is to continue learning throughout the summer (and all year long)! The 2023 Summer Learning Program with Polk County Public Libraries runs for 8 weeks, from June 12th to August 6th.

Kids and teens (up to rising 12th graders) can sign up starting June 12th at Columbus Library, Saluda Library, or on READsquared. After you sign up, pick up a packet at the library that contains a brag tag necklace to start your collection, 8 learning goal bookmarks, and a list of learning goal ideas. Each week, set and achieve 2 learning goals and write your goals on the bookmark. Then return your completed bookmark the following week (or record your progress on your READsquared account) for a new brag tag, an entry into our weekly prize drawing, and an entry into our grand prize drawings!

Adults do not need to sign up, but can complete up to 25 challenges over the 8 week period. The challenge card can be picked up at Columbus Library or Saluda Library starting June 12th, or you can use READsquared. Bring your card into the library between June 19th and August 12th (or record progress on your READsquared account) to submit your completed challenges. For every 5 challenges you complete, earn a chance to win a grand prize!

Grand prize winners will be announced on August 14th.
