Moths (& Why We Need to Think About Them Differently)
09/10/2024 , 2:00 PM at PCPL Saluda

Moths (& Why We Need to Think About Them Differently)
Tuesday, Sept 10 @ 2pm
Saluda Library

In this program presented by naturalist, photographer, and writer Sharon Mammoser, we get an introduction to the amazing world of moths, including a chance to see and learn about some of our more amazing local moths. When many people think about moths, they probably don’t consider them beautiful, very diverse, or worthy of protecting. But guess what? Moths outnumber butterflies TEN to one! We’ll also learn about their important place in the food web and how we can make our yards and outdoor spaces more moth friendly.

The Saluda Library Speaker Series is held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 44 West Main Street, Saluda, NC. This program series is made possible thanks to Polk County Public Libraries’ partnership with Conserving Carolina, and a generous Free Community Events grant from Polk County Community Foundation.
