The Friends of Polk County Public Libraries Last Chance Sidewalk Book Sale will be held Thursday through Saturday August 12-14, between 11am and 4pm each day, at Columbus Library. This sale features several thousand gently used fiction and nonfiction books in hardcover and paperback, DVDs, audiobooks, and music CDs. This will be the public’s last chance to purchase these books prior to sending them on to other markets or to be recycled. All books at this one of a kind sale will be priced at the low rate of 4 for $1!
The Friends’ Book Sales are the primary fundraisers for the nonprofit group, with all proceeds going to support library projects and initiatives such as the Summer Learning Program, special events, professional development opportunities for library staff, appreciation events for library volunteers, and free programs for adults and children.
