July’s Spice: Worcestershire Pub Burger Seasoning

For pub-style burgers, mix this robust blend of cracked peppercorns, Worcestershire, toasted onion, and garlic into meat (1 tbsp to 1 lb ground beef ) or a veggie burger mixture. Worcestershire pub burger seasoning also kicks up the flavor of steaks, chicken, and vegetables – a simple shake will do!

Recipe: Black Bean Burgers

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 (15.5 oz) cans black beans
  • 1/4 yellow onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire pub burger seasoning

DIRECTIONS

  1. Drain the black beans to where they only have a tiny bit of liquid left coating them. Pour both cans into a large bowl.
  2. Mash black beans with a fork until they are mashed with some whole bean pieces left in the mixture. Add in Worcestershire Pub Burger seasoning. Mix well.
  3. Finely dice onion and mince garlic. Add to mixture. Add in egg. Stir all ingredients until they are well incorporated! Lastly, add panko breadcrumbs. Stir until the mixture becomes more dry and you are able to form it into patties. If your mixture still feels too wet, add more breadcrumbs until you reach the desired consistency.
  4. Divide the mixture in the bowl into fourths. Roll each fourth into a ball and then flatten it out into a patty.
  5. Add oil to a skillet. Let the skillet get hot. Add the burgers to the skillet and cook them on each side for 4-5 minutes. They should be golden brown and crispy on the outside!
